Youth Ministry That Works
The black youth and young adult sees many of the practices of this generation and the church as bondage, ignorance and compromise to a system that sold empty promises to their people. Their perceived promise came back insufficient funds from the bank of justice. Black teens have no reference or regard for the enormous struggles and sacrifices of their ancestors, which has created a void of understanding relative to the enormous strides that were achieved by the traditionalist. The testimonials of the elders have been overshadowed in the eyes of young adults by the blatant reality of white privilege, governmental amnesia, black church restructuring and financial disparity in urban communities. This session is designed to refocus and develop relevant ministries and optimistic realities that will attract our youth to God, motivate them to become powerful witnesses in their context and ascend a message of hope that transforms negative concept of religiosity and Christendom to a impactful ministry for youth.
